Lauren's double win marks 'insane' end to a tough year
In December, mum-to-be Lauren Tomlinson from Rotherham bagged £836,114 - and immediately vowed to split it with her parents.
Lauren struggled to control her emotions after receiving two cheques for £418,057 - one for each of her two tickets.
She said:
I'll give my mum and dad one and I'll keep one. It'll be a straight-up split.
The huge win was a remarkable change in fortune for Lauren, who was four months pregnant at the time of her win, after she and her mum Andrea were diagnosed with cancer - and her dad Darren suffered a severe stroke.
Lauren, a successful baker who designs and creates specialty cakes with her mum, said:
I'm absolutely gobsmacked, this is beyond words. It is life-changing. I have absolutely unreal emotions. This is going to change all our lives forever.
